Disney’s Hollywood Studios has officially unveiled its newly reimagined Walt Disney Studios Lot, giving guests a first look at a refreshed area inspired by the iconic Disney studio campus in Burbank, California. The transformation replaces the former Animation Courtyard area with updated scenery, new details, and the foundation for several upcoming experiences.

As construction walls continue to disappear, guests can now walk through an environment designed to resemble the real-life Walt Disney Studios campus. The updated area features reimagined facades, landscaping, and playful Disney details meant to create the feeling of stepping onto an active studio lot.

Disney fans exploring the area may also notice hidden character references and decorative touches throughout the land. New props and visual elements appear to celebrate Disney animation history while helping create a more immersive and family-friendly atmosphere.

While the newly opened courtyard is now accessible, one of the biggest additions is still on the way. The Magic of Disney Animation, located inside the former Star Wars Launch Bay space, is expected to debut later this summer and will serve as the centerpiece of the land. Disney says the experience will bring animated characters to life in a setting inspired by the Once Upon a Studio short film.

The reimagined area is part of a larger evolution happening across Disney’s Hollywood Studios as the park continues adding new entertainment, attractions, and themed experiences. For guests visiting now, the Walt Disney Studios Lot offers a preview of what’s still to come — and a fresh new corner of the park to explore.
